Learn some pretty neat facts about this very popular breed of dog...
Breed History
The Goldendoodle was breed intentionally in the mid 1990’s as a bigger version of Cockapoo. This combination is popular because of its non- or light-shedding coats. People with allergies tend to do very well with our Goldendoodles.
The first generation cross-produced between two unrelated purebred lines takes the best traits of both breeds.
Both the Golden Retriever and the Poodle are known to be highly intelligent dogs. The cross between the two breeds produces a dog that is smart, allergy-friendly, pleasant, affectionate, and trainable. They make excellent family pets because of their friendliness toward children and other household pets. They are social; they enjoy spending time with family.
